Synopsis
A series of mystery-thriller stories, linked only by the character of The Hitchhiker, who would introduce and close each episode in the style of Rod Serling or Alfred Hitchcock. Occasionally stories involved supernatural forces, but most plot twists stemmed only from the dark side of the human spirit. One of the few Canadian shows to come out of HBO, the series re-airs in Canada on the SCREAM network and can occasionally be seen on HBO. There is considerable confusion over how many seasons were in the series, but the creators have released the first and third season on DVD, so the episode guide is arranged accordingly. Originally the Hitchhiker was cast with Nicholas Campbell, but for whatever reason Campbell was replaced with Page Fletcher.
